PLEASE NOTE…THE ENGLAND V SWEDEN SEMI FINAL IS NOT BEING SHOWN AT THE FAN PARTY SITE ON 26TH JULY.

Station Square is a revitialised urban space, in the heart of the city, with direct transport links to MK Central Station, City Centre Car Parking and the dedicated shuttle bus service direct to Stadium MK. The square is immediately outside MK Central Train Station.

The MK Fan Party will be open on all MK match days between 12noon and kick off as follows:

  • 27 July 12noon – 8pm

Upon return through the Fan Party, following the match, toilets and drinking water will be available for fans on their way back to their preferred transport route.

What’s On

Station Square offers a safe and welcoming space for you to meet up with friends and family and be entertained before the game.

Here you will find a fantastic selection of pop-up food and drink vendors; a big screen with a free programme of film and music; children’s entertainment and social photo moments; an opportunity to kick a ball or learn a new skill; and see an outdoor exhibition telling the story of women’s football; flying flags of the nation and a team of volunteers to guide and support you.

A dedicated chill-out area, with comfy seats located amongst newly created wildflower meadows.  From face-painting to table-football and yoga sessions, our Fan Party offers something for everyone. The full buzz will be provided at Station Square, and we want you to join us.

Activation Zones will include:

  • Stage Area – films, dance, music and more
  • Legacy Football Learn a skill Zone
  • Participating Nation entertainment, including giveaways and opportunities to leave messages for players.
  • Family fun activities, including Face Painting, table football
  • Food and beverage zone
  • Relaxing picnic zone
  • Heritage exhibitions – telling the story of Women’s Football

Calling all women’s football fans attending games in Milton Keynes – we want your photos!

Whether it’s your journey into Milton Keynes, attending events at the Fan Party in Station Square, on the shuttle bus to the stadium, or at the games themselves, plus everything in between, we’d love to see your photographs that celebrate and capture your experience of being a fan at this exciting tournament.

The best images will be selected by Milton Keynes Museum for adding to their collection, creating a permanent record of the tournament.

FAN PARTY FAQs

Do I need a ticket to the Fan Party?
The Fan Party will be a secure site with clearly marked entrances and exits. No need to book. Just come along and join in the fun.

Will there be security?
Security staff and volunteers will be present throughout the Fan Party to support your security needs. Bag checks will be completed upon arrival.

What about accessibility?
Accessible Toilets will be available within the Fan Party in Station Square. Multiple entrances and exits will be provided into the fan party which will be clearly signposted and accessible (step free access). All security check points will be accessibility friendly. Car Parking is available in close proximity to the Fan Party in the city centre car parks. Please display your appropriate disabled badge.

The Beautiful Game

The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra has devised and delivered a new tournament Anthem by to celebrate the UEFA Women’s EURO 2022, by composer Shirley J. Thompson OBE and nine local Anthems for each Host City. Inspired by words and lyrics submitted by fans across the country and recorded by The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and 100 community representatives from the Host Cities, the tournament Anthem honours the achievements of women footballers and the bright future of the game. MK’s very own anthem Our Time is Now has been written with the Royal Philharmonic, composer Charlotte Harding, MK Music Hub and local communities. A joyous tune celebrating all that is special about MK including our infamous concrete cows, the code breakers and yes – our new city status!

The Supercompensation Cycle by Emma Smith

An immersive and participatory artwork that invites the public to warm-up for each match by replicating the movements of live performers. Inspired by historic footage of players’ warm up moves and sports theory, the work celebrates the unheralded expertise of all bodies and how they move. Made in collaboration with MK residents and girls and young women from Milton Keynes Football Club, holographic portraits embedded in specially designed sculptures form an installation that is accompanied by a sound track created in collaboration with musician Ya Ya Bones and sound engineer Daniel Halford.

Stadium for the Future (If I can’t dance I don’t want to be part of your revolution) by Idle Women

Stadium for the Future will be a living stadium imagined, engineered and hand built by and for women, a self-sustaining ecosystem of creating, training and playing to manifest a different world.

Conceived as a provocation and call to action, Stadium for the Future will be danced into existence come rain or shine at the Campbell Park underpass alongside the Grand Union Canal in MK during ‘A Dance to Celebrate our Rightful Belonging with Queer Rave Soundsystem and DJ’s Ayebaitari, Cybernova, Missy P, Cheza, Sheba Q and MC Icykal.

Who Makes Football by The Guild Collective

Commissioned by Milton Keynes Council, local artists and dyers collective ‘The Guild’ will deliver a fun, free interactive workshop where you can hand craft your own football from naturally dyed and embroidered fabrics and share your football stories.

Warrior Women by Motus Dance and Alina Orchestra

Commissioned by Milton Keynes Council, Warrior Women celebrates the strength, fortitude and creativity of local MK women both on and off the football pitch in a new collaborative, multidisciplinary work including dance, film and a live music performance.

Library Resource Pack

Deborah Goatley-Birch has designed a new creative resource pack for libraries across the country which is now available to download. The resource pack will enable communities to come together to celebrate and enjoy the UEFA Women’s EURO 2022. It includes activities inspired by football fan objects such as rosette and banner making and includes a reading list of books that feature trailblazing sports people.
