A major new exhibition has opened @mk_gallery dedicated to the rarely seen colour photographs by pioneering 20th-century French photographer and painter Jacques Henri Lartigue 📸🎨

It explores Lartigue’s lifelong experimentation with colour and will feature over 150 works including his early experimental stereoscopic images, which produce three-dimensional effects, as well as vintage prints, unique works on paper and archival documents.

The exhibition runs until 4 October 2026.

This Sunday, 21 June 10am-8pm, the popular FREE Midsummer Festival returns to Midsummer Boulevard - and the weather forecast looks amazing! 🌅

The streets will be transformed into vibrant spaces filled with live performances, music, art installations, creative workshops and street food...all inspired by the Summer Solstice 🤩

Expect spectacular puppet processions, roaming characters, interactive experiences and plenty of hands-on activities for families, with clay modeling and flower crown making - there`s even a silent disco Mud Plant Rave! 🌸🎧

It looks like it will be warm, please bring sun cream/hats - there will be shaded areas on site.

Well, this was a whole lot of fun! 👏

Sometimes when iconic movies get turned into musicals, let`s be honest, it can be a bit hit and miss...BUT @thekaratekidmusical @mktheatre kicked it`s way on to the stage and didn`t look back! 🤩

It`s a clever blend of nostaglia, innovative yet simple set design, martial arts choreography, some really good songs and a cast that were totally enjoying themselves. Big shout outs to @therealadrianpang who plays Mr Miyagi, with a calmness but also a lot of humour, @ginoochello playing Daniel LaRusso, and to @elenabreschi who stepped in to play Ali Mills (at seemingly the last minute - given the rousing ovation her cast mates gave her at the end) ⭐

If you love the movie, this musical is right up your street - and even if you`re not a huge fan, it`s a lot of fun and fantastic night out!
