The Great Outdoors
With over 6,000 acres of parkland, dotted with rivers, lakes, woodland, and trails, Milton Keynes lives up to its reputation as the ‘city in the country’. It might sound staggering, but you’ll find over 22 million trees throughout our city, and locals and visitors alike love to get outdoors and breathe the fresh air.
Even our streets are green, lined with wide grass verges, and you’re never too far from a pocket park, stretch of woodland, or an expansive stretch of grass and greenery. So much so, in fact, that over 20% of our city is given over to the great outdoors, and it’s all ready to be explored and experienced. Events throughout the year can be found on parkland managed by the Parks Trust, so check out their listings below.
