Winners of Midsummer Place’s Xmas Tree Festival announced

The winners of Midsummer Place’s Christmas Tree Festival 2022 are in.

A total of 2329 votes were collected and counted since launching on 12 November, and the winners are:

1st place: The Walnuts School
2nd place: Medical Detection Dogs
3rd place: Rebecca Marie Academy of Dance supporting Shine

The winning charities will be presented with their sums in the New Year, “a great way to start 2023”, said Marketing Manager at Midsummer Place Kirsty McGiff. “The response to the Festival has been fantastic and we’ve seen and heard so many positive comments and kind words from shoppers.

“I would like to truly thank all of our local sponsors for their support and for our visitors to Midsummer Place for showing such wonderful Christmas spirit.”

Visitors to the centre were able to vote for their favourite trees online or by posting an entry on the mall – the trees will remain in the centre until the New Year for all to enjoy. A total of 20 trees were represented by;
