Vintage Christmas Grotto to open at Bletchley Park

Come visit Father Christmas and his elves in Bletchley Park Mansion’s Ballroom, a beautiful, spacious wood-panelled room used by Codebreakers in World War Two.

To celebrate the festive season at Bletchley Park, they will be welcoming children and their families to visit their unique Vintage Christmas Grotto to meet Father Christmas! Children will have a magical meeting with Father Christmas in the beautifully decorated Mansion, where they’ll receive a lovely Christmas gift to take home.

In the run-up to Christmas, Father Christmas will make time in his very busy schedule to visit Bletchley Park, with the Ballroom in the Mansion decorated with toys and Christmas trees to make him feel more at home.

Individual families will have time in the Grotto, where children will meet with Father Christmas, have a chat and receive a special Christmas gift. Photos are welcome and one of Father Christmas’ helpful elves will be on hand to help take the perfect shot for you.

Some of Father Christmas’ elves have snuck away from the North Pole to get up to mischief around Bletchley Park. Can you spot them and solve some puzzles to help us return them safely home? Collect a free trail from admissions to help you find them.

Don’t forget to pop into the Hut 4 Café or Block C Coffee Shop to warm up with a hot drink and a choice of festive treats.

The Vintage Christmas Grotto will be open between 10:00 and 15:30 on 26 November and 3, 4, 10, 11, 17,18, 19, 20, 22 and 23 December 2022.

The Relaxed Vintage Christmas Grotto, for families with additional needs, will be open between 10:00 and 15:30 on 27 November and 21 December.

Please note:
The Father Christmas Grotto Experience is located within Bletchley Park’s beautiful Mansion. To access the museum, including the Mansion, accompanying adults will need to purchase standard admission tickets. All admission tickets are annual season tickets. Anyone with a valid season ticket does not need to re-purchase them. Children must be accompanied by an adult and have a ticket (£10.50 per child) for the Vintage Christmas Grotto.
