Midsummer Place launches its Christmas Tree Festival campaign

Midsummer Place has launched its Christmas Tree Festival community initiative that gives local organisations the unique chance to sponsor their own Christmas tree on the mall, in support of charity.

There are just 10 trees available to sponsor at a cost of £200 each. In return, the successful sponsor will get free mall space throughout the busiest time of the year for their brand plus free PR, marketing and social support, and help a charity of their choice.

“This is a wonderful chance for Midsummer Place to work with the local community and offer them a spot on our mall when visitors to the centre is at their highest. For any local organisations, businesses or individuals, this is a rare opportunity to get their brand and messaging seen in front of hundreds of thousands of people,” said Kirsty McGiff, Marketing Manager at Midsummer Place.

Local organisations are asked to record their interest by visiting the Midsummer Place website with entries due in by Friday 30 September. Each party will then be asked to decorate their 6ft Christmas tree in an imaginative and creative way to go on the mall from 12 November.

Shoppers then have the chance to vote for their favourite tree design by following the instructions by each tree until 18 December. The top three trees with the highest number of votes will receive a share of the total funds raised through the campaign.

Also this Christmas, Midsummer Place will be the host location for the My Milton Keynes City Light Switch On event on Saturday 12 November. More details will be revealed nearer the time.
