centre:mk ‘recruitment drive’ is back, bigger and better than ever

centre:mk, who currently employ 6,500 people locally, are excited to announce that they are about to re-launch their centre-wide recruitment campaign following the success of the seasonal recruitment drive in 2021, recruiting for around 300 new vacancies in the run up to the busy Christmas season.

The shopping centre has seen footfall increase significantly from 2021 and has had several high-profile new store openings throughout this year including Ted Baker, Loupe and Charles Tyrwhitt with more retailers set to join the line up before Christmas. With the successful ‘Job Show’ returning in September,  this month marks the start of the busiest quarter for retailers and the perfect time to seek new recruits to fill around 300 positions across various stores and restaurants, from entry level to management positions.

Kevin Duffy, Centre Director said of the campaign:

“centre:mk is a wonderful place to work and with around 24 million guests visiting each year, it’s a truly vibrant regional shopping destination. Working in retail can open many opportunities for progression and our stores offer fantastic benefits and discounts, as well as a fun and interesting place to work. Roles are open for those aged 16+ who want to get into retail, and vacancy details can be found on our website or instore. The roles that our stores are recruiting for range in experience levels, with various hours and contract lengths (both permanent and temporary vacancies).”.

From 5th September, centre:mk will be helping retailers recruit for vacancies with shops, restaurants and cafes highlighting they are hiring with a window sticker, so interested applicants can go inside to speak to a manager to start a conversation about what is on offer. Jobs will also be promoted on posters, social media, and the centre:mk website so this is a perfect time to pop into the centre with your CV. The majority of retailers have confirmed that a face-to-face chat is the best approach in starting the application process, and so the centre is encouraging interested applicants to come in and see for themselves the opportunities available.
