centre:mk announce sponsorship of Milton Keynes Pride Festival 2022

The countdown to the increasingly popular Milton Keynes Pride Festival has begun. Taking place in Campbell Park on Saturday 10^th September 2022, centre:mk has announced that they will be sponsoring the event for the second year running.

This year, centre:mk will be sponsoring the festival Volunteers, helping to provide them with training, t-shirts and an area where they can rest and recuperate at the busy festival, as well as giving the organisers a pop-up space in the centre itself to act as a Volunteer hub. They will also be sponsoring the sensory tent; an area for families and individuals with sensory perceptual needs to take a break from the excitement of the festival where they can relax, chill out and feel calm.

The sponsorship reflects centre:mk’s ethos to help make the centre and the wider city a place where individuals can feel like they can come and be themselves, regardless of race, gender, religion or sexual orientation. The festival is a fantastic event, celebrating diversity and inclusivity and last year, over 14,000 people attended the festival.

It really is a day of celebration, not just for the LGBTQ+ community but for everybody to come and join in the fun. Our shopping centre has an open to all policy that everyone is welcome here, and that reflects that we are at the heart of a wonderfully diverse city, which makes Milton Keynes a truly vibrant place to visit.”
