On the Watercolour Pigment Making workshop, abstract painter Lisa-Marie Price will lead participants as they forage for materials to create their own watercolour pigments from scratch and use them in in their own watercolour paints. Price will also explore the connection between nature, people and place, and the unique connection between the land and her paintings.

‘Creating your own paints from scratch is an extremely special process.' said Lisa-Marie. 'Being able to make colour from a rock is nothing new but it is very rarely experienced in modern times. Foraging for the rocks allows a deep connection to nature and our surroundings. The process of creating the watercolours is very meditative, relaxing and fulfilling. Each rock has its own uniqueness, from its colours to its feel and smell when crushing and mulling the paint. There's always an element of surprise and delight once you have made your own paint!
I can’t wait to share my knowledge and passion for making my own paint.'
