Cowper & Newton Museum Open Day

Visit the house in Olney where poet and letter writer William Cowper lived. Imagine domestic life as he experienced it in late- Georgian times. Enjoy his gardens and the celebrated summer- house where he wrote. Find out about his friend and neighbour, the preacher and former slave trader John Newton, author of the hymn Amazing Grace.
