Our popular 'Refreshments in the Courtyard' returns offering delicious homemade cakes with a choice of tea, coffee, herbal tea or juice for only £3.50, which also includes a stroll around our beautiful 18th century, tranquil gardens. Three Hares Gallery – ‘Coast and Country Art Exhibition’ by Amanda Curbishley
3rd – 27th August/ 11.00 am - 4:30 pm (Last admission 3:30pm)/ Free entry to the gallery (please purchase separates tickets to see the museum and gardens). A solo exhibition of marine and landscape art by Amanda – a contemporary artist who works in acrylics and mixed media.

Quackery Children’s Trail
Throughout 2021 @ 11.00 am - 4:30 pm (Last admission 3:30pm). Trail £1.00 to purchase in the Shop/ Usual adult admission applies (online bookings and walk-ins if space). Journey through Georgian medicine and discover what your doctor may have given you 250 years ago.

Whilst exploring inside our historic house, see our new temporary exhibition ‘Quackery & Enlightenment – A journey through Georgian medicine’ from which you will discover Scottish physician, William Buchan, who was on a mission to educate the Georgian population on health and the dangers of quack medicine.
