Lime Bikes & e-Scooters

Milton Keynes is working with operator Lime on a dockless e-bike and e-scooter rental scheme for the city. Vehicles can be hired through the Lime app that is available on the Apple or Google Play store.

Lime is the world’s largest shared electric vehicle provider with e-bikes and e-scooters in more than 250 cities and 30 countries. Founded in 2017, our mission is to help build a future of transport that is shared, affordable, and carbon-free. We launched in the UK in 2018 and now run successful shared e-bike and e-scooter services in London, Greater Manchester (e-scooter only) and Milton Keynes. We are also due to launch in Nottingham and Derby (e-bike only) in Spring 2023.

Almost 1.5 million people have ridden Lime in the UK and we are fully committed to being part of Britain’s journey to a greener future. Our data shows that 1 in 4 Lime rides replaces a car journey, with approximately 2.5 million UK car journeys saved to date, avoiding an estimated 600 tonnes of CO2 emissions.

Our e-bike and e-scooter scheme is helping transform transport for residents of Milton Keynes, providing a service that is green, affordable, and safe. Our dedication to creating a greener form of transport is reflected in our products, which are charged using 100% renewable energy. Our long-term goal is to make Lime part of the innovative infrastructure of Milton Keynes and is committed to building strong relationships with the businesses and communities in the city.
