Can Milton Keynes break a ‘tap’ world record?

Midsummer Place and MAPA School of Dancing are calling on people across Milton Keynes to put on their dancing shoes and help attempt to break a world record this November.

The shopping centre will host the National Tapathon on Sunday 15 November 12:15 – 13:30pm, when dancers, families, friends and complete beginners will come together in an attempt to break the world record for the most people performing the same tap routine at the same time.

Organised locally by Milton Keynes-based MAPA School of Dancing, participants at Midsummer Place will perform simultaneously with dance schools taking part across the country and organisers want as many people as possible from Milton Keynes to get involved.

Entry has now opened: https://form.mapadanceschool.com/events/event-details/6ab52628aba6648e23b74616

This year’s routine will be performed to the FRIENDS favourite “I’ll Be There For You” and organisers stress that absolutely no previous tap dancing experience is required.
