
What’s Open in Milton Keynes
Following government advice, Milton Keynes is starting to open up again following the key dates set out in the roadmap. On this page we’ll be bringing together information from across the retail, leisure and accommodation sectors to help you plan your visits across MK safely.
Please check with any business before visiting to confirm opening times, booking systems and safety procedures. All opening dates are subject to change.
SHOPPING
Non-essential shops are now open, as long as they follow government guidelines. Milton Keynes has a vibrant retail sector which has already started to welcome visitors back to shopping centres, outlet centres and department stores.

Depending of the type of attraction the dates for reopening vary. We’ll update this page as we get more reopening dates confirmed:
- Xscape MK – some non-essential shops are now open and some restaurants are open for outdoor dining. Many food outlets are available for click & collect/takeaways but please check their website for regular updates

- Gravity Trampoline Park (at Xscape MK) – Rockclimbing is NOW OPEN, the rest of the park set to reopen on 20th May

HOTELS & ACCOMMODATION PROVIDERS
In accordance with current government guidelines, many hotels are open only for keyworkers and essential business travel. We will update this section as our partner hotels confirm reopening dates for leisure stays:

- Whittlebury Park (including Spa) – 17th May
BARS & RESTAURANTS
As per government guidance some restaurants and bars will open for outside dining/drinking from 12th April and then indoor restricted dining from 17th May. Please check with individual businesses for specific booking and opening information.
From our own membership organisations, we can confirm the following:
- Xscape MK – some restaurants are open for outdoor dining, many restaurants are open for click & collect/takeaway, please check their website for regular updates
- The Hub – many restaurants are NOW OPEN for outdoor dining – check The Hub website for the latest info
- McDonald’s at Brickhill, Kingston, Westcroft, Wolverton, Xscape, centre:mk – open for McDelivery, drive through and collection
- Frosts Garden Centre Restaurant/Cafe – available for outdoor dining and takeaway services – please check the website. Indoor dining from 17th May.
- Maaya Indian Kitchen & Bar – The Hub – open for takeaway
- Marco’s Steakhouse Bar & Grill at Stadium MK – 17th May
EVENTS
Although many of the fantastic annual and one-off and regular events that Milton Keynes holds have had to be cancelled, some specific socially distanced events are now being announced. We will update this section as and when we receive information or your can check our WHAT’S ON section.
