Travel information for Take That at Stadium MK

One of the UK’s most successful bands, Take That, return to Stadium MK in Milton Keynes with their This Life tour on Thursday, 30 May 2024.

Below you’ll find information enabling you to plan your journey to and from the stadium, plus there is additional information on traffic management measures that will be in place in order to allow visitors to access the stadium as safely and quickly as possible. In view of the larger attendance, we ask all visitors to plan their journey in advance and leave as much time as possible on the evening for their arrival.

By Train

Milton Keynes Central Railway Station is the recommended station for train travel and is included on the route of the Event Day Shuttle Service to the stadium. The Event Day Shuttle Service will commence at 14:00hrs and the return journey from the stadium will operate from 21:00hrs until 00:30hrs. The return fare is £10 per person (plus booking fee of £2.25). Please see full details below under Event Day Shuttle Service.

Bletchley Railway Station is approx. 30-minute walk from Stadium MK and is not included on the Shuttle Service. You are reminded to doublecheck the times of your trains and to allow sufficient time to reach your departing station, taking account of the large number of people likely to use the shuttle service.

By Bus

Stadium MK is served by local bus services 5 and 6 in the evenings, each providing frequent connections between the Stadium and Milton Keynes Central Railway Station, Central Milton Keynes and Bletchley Bus Station (a 5 min walk from Bletchley rail station). Service 6 will be redirected post event when Saxon Street is subject to a road closure.

By Event Day Shuttle Bus

The Event Day Shuttle Service will operate specifically for this concert between Central Milton Keynes and the stadium, starting from the Bus Stop on Midsummer Boulevard (postcode MK9 1EA what3words///hacksaw.orbited.tidying). The return fare is £10 per person (plus a £2.25 booking fee). Tickets can be pre purchased online via
www.parkthecarhere.com or on the day from the ticket booth signposted near the bus stop. Please note that no tickets will be sold on the buses themselves.

This will be a rolling service commencing at 14:00hrs, with the last bus leaving Midsummer Boulevard at 19:30hrs. The return journey will operate from Saxon Street (adjacent to KFC/Gate 5) from 21:00hrs. The last bus will leave the stadium at 00:30hrs. The service will be operated on behalf of the stadium by First Travel.

There is ample parking provision in the public car parks around the pick-up points at Milton Keynes Central Railway Station. Parking charges vary, so please ensure you check car park signage when parking.

By Car – Stadium Parking

On-site parking spaces are available to purchase online via www.parkthecarhere.com. The parking charge for this event is £40 plus booking fee. You will be prompted to include your vehicle registration which will be scanned on entry to the car park to speed entry. We would advise that you have your e-ticket available, either printed or on a smart phone, in case of any issues. You will be directed to use the Saxon Street entrance. The best postcode for this entry is MK1 1ET.

PLEASE NOTE THAT NO PARKING WILL BE AVAILABLE TO PURCHASE AT THE POINT OF ENTRY TO THE STADIUM SITE

Blue Badge Holders

Blue badge parking is extremely limited and chargeable and MUST be pre-booked via the Box Office. Please email [email protected]. You will need to provide your car registration and blue badge number. You will be directed to use the Saxon Street entrance. The best postcode for this entry is MK1 1ET. Your registration plate will be scanned on entry to the car park, but we would advise bringing a copy of your e-ticket, either printed or available on your smart phone. You will need to bring your valid Blue Badge.

PLEASE NOTE THAT NO DISABLED PARKING WILL BE AVAILABLE ON SITE WITHOUT PRE-BOOKING

Off Site Parking

Park & Walk – Bond Estates MK1 1SW
A Park & Walk car park will operate from Bond Estates (MK1 1SW) and spaces are available to book in advance on www.parkthecarhere.com charged at £35 plus booking fee. You will be prompted to include your vehicle registration which will be scanned on entry to the car park to speed entry. We would advise that you have your e-ticket available, either printed or on a smart phone, in case of any issues. This official site will open at 17:00hrs and close at 00:30hrs and will be manned throughout the event.

Park & Stride – National Bowl MK MK5 8RR
Parking is available at the National Bowl MK as a Park & Stride service, available to book in advance for £30 plus booking fee at www.parkthecarhere.com. You will be prompted to include your vehicle registration which will be scanned on entry to the car park to speed entry. We would advise that you have your e-ticket available, either printed or on a smart phone, in case of any issues. This official site will be manned throughout the event. The car park will be open between 14:00 – 00:30hrs.

Central Milton Keynes Public Car Parks
There is ample parking provision in the public car parks around the Central Milton Keynes Railway Station which is serviced by the Event Day Shuttle Service pick-up point at Midsummer Boulevard (postcode MK9 1EA what3words///hacksaw.orbited.tidying). Parking charges vary, so please ensure you check car park signage when parking. As detailed above, the Event Day Shuttle Service will operate from 14:00hrs from Central Milton Keynes and travel directly to the stadium. The return journey will operate from Saxon Street (adjacent to KFC/Gate 5) from 21:00hrs. The return journey costs £10 (plus booking fee of £2.25) and tickets can be pre purchased online via
www.parkkthehere.com or on the night from the ticket booth signposted near the bus stop. Please note that no tickets will be sold on the buses themselves.

Local Industrial Parking
A limited amount of on-street parking is available in the local industrial areas around the stadium site. Visitors are requested to park legally and considerately and respect our neighbours by not causing disruption to their homes or businesses, some of which operate 24-hours a day. Please note that Parking Enforcement will be in operation. Visitors should not park in the surrounding residential areas where parking is limited and restricted for residents’ use.

Retail Car Parks
Parking on the MK1 Shopping & Leisure Parks, Fitness First, ASDA and IKEA sites are restricted for customers only for a limited period and ANPR cameras are in operation which may result in penalty notices being issued. Traffic management and Parking Enforcement will be in operation.

Drop Off
A dedicated Drop-Off Point is located on Dawson Road accessed via Marlborough Street and all vehicles will be directed to turn left onto Saxon Street once pedestrians have alighted. All pedestrians will be stewarded to use the underpass under Saxon Street to arrive at the stadium site opposite Gate 5, with direct access into the Fan Village. Please follow signage and steward directions to the Drop-Off Zone. No dropping off is allowed within the stadium road network for any reason.

Pick Up
After the concert, the stadium site will be completely locked down for 30 minutes with absolutely no vehicle movements permitted. Vehicles in stadium car parks will be held for 30 minutes to allow pedestrians to exit safely. General pick up will be from the Pick-Up Point on Dawson Road access via Marlborough Street. Please follow signage and steward directions. You are advised that Road Closures will be in operation on Saxon Street and no access will be permitted onto the stadium site from Grafton Street after the concert.

By Taxi
There will be NO dedicated Hackney Carriage point on site and the standard drop off/pick up points should be used as detailed above. A large number of Private Hire companies operate in Milton Keynes and must be pre-booked. There is NO designated Private Hire Pick-Up point on the stadium site and the standard drop off/pick up points should be used as detailed above.

By Bike
Bicycle parking facilities are available upon the stadium footprint located outside
Gate 7.

By Foot
The stadium is accessible via the Milton Keynes Redway network via Grafton Street (V6) and Saxon Street (V7). For your own safety, please keep to footpaths and underpasses.

TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT MEASURES

The following traffic control measures will be in place around the stadium on the night for the safety of visitors:

  • Speed limit reduction on Groveway
  • Road closures on Saxon Street post event
