IPA1 Introduction to Acrylic Painting- 5-week course

This course offers you the chance to become familiar with paint and to explore, through practical hands‑on experimentation, the distinct qualities acrylic paint. You will learn the fundamentals of colour theory, how to mix and refine the colours you want, and a range of techniques for creating glazes and surface textures. Alongside this, you will develop your observational and drawing skills, helping you grow in confidence as a painter.

Throughout the course, you will work from life, use secondary images, and investigate the approaches of other artists. By the end of the course, you will have gained a strong, practical understanding of this versatile medium.

This course will run every Monday from 6th July to 3rd August.
