Pottery Youth Club

After-School Youth Pottery Club | Ages 11–17

A creative, supportive after-school pottery club for young people aged 11–17 at KeKo Club Pottery Studio.

Sessions run **Monday–Friday, 3:30–5:45pm**, with parents choosing one preferred day each week.

Each weekly session includes **1kg of clay, use of studio glazes, firing and storage**, so young people can develop their own ceramic projects from idea to finished piece.

Students explore **hand-building techniques**, sculpture and surface decoration, with pottery wheel access available to those who have completed our six-week wheel course.

Sessions are **teacher-assisted and led by an Enhanced DBS-checked adult**, giving young people the freedom to work independently, experiment and push the boundaries of their imagination in a safe and encouraging environment.

Pottery naturally brings together **art, design, maths, physics and chemistry**, helping young people develop problem-solving skills, confidence, patience and curiosity.
