A Sense of Place - Two Artists, Two Perspectives: Zoë Day & Niki Thomas

Join artists Zoë Day and Niki Thomas for a special one-day exhibition at the beautiful lakeside setting of Lakehurst Park, near Deanshanger.

Over the weeks leading up to the exhibition, Zoë and Niki will be returning to Lakehurst to paint in and around the grounds, responding to the lake, landscape, trees, changing weather and atmosphere of this wonderful place.

Although working side by side and drawing inspiration from the same surroundings, the two artists approach landscape in very different ways. Zoë’s expressive, impressionistic paintings are rooted in observation and the experience of being in the landscape, while Niki’s tonal, abstract work explores atmosphere, shape and a more distilled sense of place.

The resulting exhibition brings those two perspectives together.
