This September is a huge month for cycling in Milton Keynes and Destination Milton Keynes, together with Milton Keynes City Council, is holding a photography competition to help celebrate all things cycling across the city!
On 4 September, Milton Keynes and Central Bedfordshire will host the third stage of this year’s Lloyds Tour of Britain Men, with the stage starting on the streets of the city. Britain’s biggest professional cycle race and the UK’s largest free-to-spectate live sporting event will start from Midsummer Boulevard in the city centre, and finish in Ampthill. Thousands of spectators are expected to descend on the city to watch this thrilling race unfold.
What are we looking for?
Residents can also get involved and take part in Cycle September, a FREE inclusive cycling challenge that is open to everyone, aiming to help unlock the joys of riding a bike and help participants reach personal health and carbon reduction goals. Watch out for organised events and activities throughout the month.
