The ten-day festival will now run from Friday 16 to Sunday 25 July.

IF: Milton Keynes International Festival will take place from 16–25 July 2027, bringing its programme of international artists, performances and events to the city one week earlier than originally planned.

The change from the previously announced dates of 23 July–1 August has been made following the recent announcement of the dates for Reggae Land, the UK’s largest celebration of reggae, dancehall and Caribbean culture, which is also taking place in Milton Keynes at the end of July next year.

The earlier dates will help the Festival avoid a clash with the event, while also allowing the Festival team to plan and manage its resources and budgets as effectively as possible.

Monica Ferguson, CEO & Artistic Director of The Stables, which produces the Festival, said:

“Following the recent announcement of Reggae Land’s dates, we’ve taken the decision to bring Milton Keynes International Festival forward by one week, to 16–25 July.

“We want the Festival to have the space and attention it deserves, while making sure audiences can enjoy the fantastic programme of events taking place in Milton Keynes over the summer.

“Changing our plans in response to the recent announcement has been a challenge, but it will help us deliver the best possible Festival experience for audiences and artists alike.

“We’re looking forward to sharing more details of our 2027 programme in the coming months and to welcoming audiences from Milton Keynes and beyond from 16 July next year.”

The full Festival programme will be announced in Spring 2027.
