The Very Hungry Caterpillar set to munch his way to Gulliver’s

Families visiting a popular theme park in Milton Keynes will soon be able to share the joy of the iconic children’s picture book and brand, The Very Hungry Caterpillar thanks to an exciting partnership.

Everyone’s favourite friendly character from the illustrated book by Eric Carle – which has sold more than 54 million copies worldwide – is now set to thrill guests at Gulliver’s Dinosaur & Farm Park.

The much-loved classic, which is a hit with grown-ups and children alike, centres on a story about a hungry caterpillar which emerges from an egg and begins eating everything in sight – the book complete with holes that he has supposedly eaten through. He grows into a large caterpillar and builds a cocoon around himself before finally emerging as a beautiful butterfly.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar will now be making daily appearances at Gulliver’s Dinosaur & Farm Park for socially distanced photo and meet and greet opportunities.

As covid restrictions ease, there are also plans for exclusive very Hungry Caterpillar themed birthday parties and the addition of Caterpillar Cocoons which will be created this summer in the wooded area of the resort’s campsite for guests to stay in overnight.

Dean Kimberley, director of guest services at Gulliver’s Theme Park Resorts, said: “We’re very excited to announce the arrival of The Very Hungry Caterpillar at Gulliver’s Dinosaur & Farm Park which is sure to delight our young visitors and their families.

“The colourful and distinctive caterpillar will make fun appearances, greeting fans with its friendly face – all from a safe distance – while giving the opportunities for selfies and smiles. But this is only the start and we have some fantastic plans for birthday parties and accommodation in our camping area which will add a whole extra level of fun to our offering.

“We’re thrilled to welcome The Very Hungry Caterpillar for 2021 and know our customers will enjoy the experience, too.”
