MyMiltonKeynes sponsors ‘Business Impact in the Community’ Award

On 12 March 2020, MyMiltonKeynes proudly picked up the award for ‘Business Impact in the Community’ at the Milton Keynes Business Achievement Awards (MKBAA).

Now, almost two years on and a whole lot of work and recognition later, MyMiltonKeynes is giving back to the city’s business community by sponsoring the very same category that it previously won, and enabling another outstanding MK business to walk away with the trophy.

With all entries now submitted for MKBAA 2022, Milton Keynes Business Improvement District (BID) is looking forward to helping to judge the entries within this category, which must reflect the overall theme for the 2022 awards, ‘MK – Leading the UK’s Green Recovery – Survive, Revive & Thrive’.

Sustainability is an important part of the BID’s agenda, providing support and guidance to the local business community on green initiatives and the funding streams that are available, to help create a more environmentally-focused future for Milton Keynes.

Melanie Beck MBE, Chief Executive of MyMiltonKeynes explains: “Winning an MKBAA at the 2020 awards was a huge highlight in the BID’s first term, it gave our small team a huge boost, knowing that our hard work and commitment to making real and sustainable improvements in the city, was being recognised and appreciated.

“We are excited to have the opportunity to be able to personally pass the baton on, as we hand over the new trophy to the winners of the MKBAA ‘Business Impact in the Community’ Award 2022 at Stadium MK on 24 March.”
