MyMiltonKeynes charity Fashion Show is a huge success

Last month, local Business Improvement District (BID), MyMiltonKeynes, hosted a hugely successful fashion show, in partnership with John Lewis Milton Keynes, with more than 80 guests enjoying fun, fizz and fashion in order to raise vital funds for Milton Keynes Hospital Charity.

With ticket sales, a raffle, partner sales and a tombola totally more than £4,500, the event raised almost twice its fundraising target for a new chemo chair, and with any shortfall to be made up by MyMiltonKeynes, the hospital will soon benefit from two new chairs for its cancer unit.

Speaking at the MyMiltonKeynes Fashion Show event, Vanessa Holmes, Head of Charity at Milton Keynes Hospital Charity told guests: “Chemotherapy is an awful thing for anyone to have to experience and patients can often be sitting in a chair for many hours on end. Anything we can do to help make their journey more bearable is vitally important and MK Hospital Charity is very grateful to the BID, John Lewis, the fashion show team and everyone who has supported this fantastic fundraising event.”
