Midsummer Place celebrates Independent Retailer Month

Milton Keynes’ premium shopping destination – Midsummer Place – will be supporting Independent Retailer Month (IRM) in July, as a way of celebrating the many independent retailers which help make the centre the fabulously diverse place it is.

For many years, Midsummer Place has been welcoming new and independent retailers and pledges to continue doing so forevermore, giving opportunities to small businesses to help them grow.

Home of independent businesses such as The Dutch Hospital, Made in Sud, Souv-lucky Day and the Indie Collective, the centre has become a popular destination for small businesses as well as its High Street names.

Midsummer Place’s highly popular Etsy Artisan Markets were always a huge a hit with shoppers from near and far, regularly bringing dozens of independent businesses together under one roof for one of the very best indie shopping days out for miles around.

These Etsy Artisan Markets – which will make their return this year – will see dozens of new and existing small businesses showcase their often-handmade products and gifts. From home décor and handmade cards to sweet treats and perfect presents, the markets are a popular place to find something unique and extra special.

Over the years, Midsummer Place has seen the most popular independent businesses thrive and grow. Made in Sud makes the undisputed best pizzas in Milton Keynes and is one of the most popular places for a lunchtime treat. While The Dutch Hospital stocks homeware, gifts and furnishings galore, items you can’t buy anywhere else, and Souv-lucky Day which specialises in delicious Greek gyros.
