Foodbank success for Gulliver’s Land

The popular foodbank weekend returned to Gulliver’s Land recently and was a sensational success for both the theme park, and more importantly, Food Bank Xtra, a new joint initiative between MK Council &  MK FoodBank, created to cope with the extra demands brought on by the ongoing pandemic.

Although it’s been running successfully for a number of years, this year’s autumn event, hosted by Gulliver’s, is all the more important with many additional families and individuals needing support from the local Food Bank.

Over the Saturday and Sunday more than 2,500 items of non-perishable goods were donated by visitors to Gulliver’s; they were piled high in crates with Gully Mouse’s help and then taken away in three van loads to the Food Bank who were very grateful for all that was achieved.
