Entries for the 2020 MK Business Achievement Awards are open

MKBAA 2020The new chair of Milton Keynes Business Leaders Partnership (MKBLP), Nicholas Mann was recently joined at MK Gallery by previous winners, sponsors and local businesses to officially announce the Milton Keynes Business Achievement Awards (MKBAA) 2020.

Held in the fantastic new MK Gallery auditorium, more than 120 guests were introduced to the judges, categories and theme of this year’s awards, which will focus on the overall health and wellbeing of our great city, its residents, businesses and workforce.

Guests heard from last year’s double award winner, Integral Powertrain, who picked up the trophy for best Technology Business and Business of the Year at the 2019 awards, and Ruth Devine, Managing Director of SJD Electrical, winner of the Small Business Award, who told of her surprise and delight at winning at the 2019 awards earlier this year.

Stuart Jaycocks, Marketing Manager at Integral Powertrain says: “The awards have really helped to raise the profile of Integral Powertrain as a hugely successful business in Milton Keynes.

“With many motorsport companies in the area, MKBAA has given us credibility with our customers and demonstrates that we’re at the forefront of a revolution in the automotive industry.”

In keeping with this years’ theme, MKBAA’s organisers announced that the 2020 awards are in the best shape ever, with headline sponsors confirmed as KPMG, The Open University and MK Council and many of the category and event sponsorship spots already filled too.

In addition to its continued support for MK Community Foundation, MKBAA 2020 will raise funds for SportsAid. Mark Ormerod, Chairman of SportsAid Eastern explained to those at the launch event how the charity helps the next generation of British sport stars at the start of their careers when their parents are their only other means of support.

Returning to Marshall Arena for the second time, MKBAA will take place on 12 March 2020, with over 700 of Milton Keynes leading business people expected to join the annual celebration of a variety of Milton Keynes organisations across many different sizes and sectors.
