Calling all princesses for a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ attempt

Do you know someone who would like to go down in history as an officially recognised Princess? A GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title attempt for the largest gathering of people dressed as princesses will take place at Fred Roche Gardens in Milton Keynes over the Platinum Jubilee Weekend.

MyMiltonKeynes, a business improvement district focused on positive change within the Central Milton Keynes area, is hosting a fun-filled long weekend of Jubilee celebrations to mark both the historic celebration of the Queen’s 70-year reign, as well as the region’s newly awarded city status.

The princess gathering is inclusive of all ages and genders, with the only rule being that participants must come wearing their prettiest dress and tiaras to be included in the official count by the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS adjudicator. Over 500 princesses will be needed, so a small number of tiaras will be available on the day to boost the chances of breaking the record with flying colours.

The official count will take place next to the MyBigScreen at Fred Roche Gardens on Saturday 4th June between 1:00-2:30 pm and will be followed by a showing of Disney’s FROZEN and other movies for the whole family to enjoy including Shrek, The Little Mermaid, Princess Diaries and Cinderella.

In addition to the first GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title attempt since Milton Keynes became a city, MyMiltonKeynes will be holding a Jubilee Parade at 10:30 am on Thursday 2nd June taking participants around the vibrant City Centre, alongside attendees MK Snap, The Salvation Army, MK Hindu Association and many more. There will also be a ‘Best Crown’ drawing competition, with a prize reward for the best drawing posted on social media using the hashtag #MyCrown. Crown templates will be available at the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title attempt on Saturday 4th June and from within the centre:mk shopping centre on Friday 3rd June at John Lewis, Marks and Spencer, Harrods, Primark, TK Maxx, Boots, Next, Lush, Hotel Chocolat and River Island.
