Simpson’s Nature: Past, Present and Future

A guided walk around Simpson to explore the relationship between the world of nature (some of it hidden) and the village’s heritage, both old and new. How can nature’s future best be secured for future generations? The walk will visit sites including St Thomas’s churchyard, the 18thC enclosures, the 19thC Grand Union Canal, and the Linear Park created 50 years ago. It will also take in less conspicuous but nonetheless significant features of the local environment which support and encourage birds, animals, butterflies, trees and plants.
