The Cowper & Newton Museum is excited to be working with the Milton Keynes based Sierra Leone Community and The Olney-Newton Link, all part of the Amazing Grace 250 Anniversary.
"Sierra Leone: Sierra-ously Surprising" will give you a real insight into Sierra Leone. The exhibition promises to showcase an eclectic mix of traditional items from the West African country, including brightly coloured dress-ware, masks, musical instruments, and even an opportunity to learn and play Awale, a traditional Sierra Leonian table-top game. Our interpretation also includes QR codes, to give you the opportunity to find out more about some of the items on display, including how some are made.
The exhibition is free to enter and runs from Tuesday 21st February to Thursday 30th March. Suitable for both children and adults.
