Celebrate with a glorious feast of music drawn from coronations through the ages performed by 120 singers from Milton Keynes Chorale, Polymnia, Musica MK and Oxford Pro Musica Singers, accompanied by the Alina Orchestra.
Enjoy the splendour of Handel’s coronation anthem Zadok the Priest, the emotion of Elgar’s Nimrod, and the rousing spirit of Pomp and Circumstance No 1. Experience some of the magnificent music heard by the Queen as she was crowned: William Walton’s Coronation Te Deum, and his march Crown Imperial, first performed at her father’s coronation. The concert culminates in a new arrangement of the National Anthem.
