Join Alina Orchestra as they present their first concert at The Stables, featuring a celebration of some fantastic works for string orchestra by some of the most popular, well-known composers. Musical Director Hilary Davan Wetton will be leading the orchestra through works by Elgar, Holst and Tchaikovsky.
The evening will feature ‘ Alina Orchestra Artist in Residence’ pianist, Craig Greene and Alina Orchestra’s Principal Trumpet, Tim Hawes, in a performance of Shostakovich’s light-hearted and much-loved Concerto, written for the unusual combination of Trumpet, Piano and Strings, a piece full of excitement, energy and moments of virtuosic skill.
