Fossil Hunting at Great Linford Manor Park

Did you know there are fossils to be discovered at Great Linford Manor Park in Milton Keynes? At this event you will learn how rocks form, what fossils are and how to identify them in your local park.

The event takes place at an arrangement of limestone rocks in the park, locally known as ‘the stones’. They were hewn from the Great Linford quarry and are around 170 million years old! They are a great place to find fossils. The workshop will be led by geologist, Dr. Jill Eyers.

This event is suitable for families. Sessions are available at 10am, 11am, 12pm and 1.15pm and last 45 minutes. Booking is essential for this event.
