Counterpoint by Candlelight

Come and join MK Chorale as we explore some of the most sublime music ever written for accompanied and unaccompanied voices. From masterpieces by Palestrina, Byrd and others that provide a snapshot of the political and religious upheaval of the Elizabethan era, to heart-wrenching pinnacles of the Romantic music of Mendelssohn and Brahms, we will be transported through musical time with illustrative readings. The atmospheric candlelit setting of St Peter and St Paul Church adds to the experience to create a concert to remember.
