Botanical Slow Stitching with Emi Fujisawa

Create beautiful botanical inspired embroidery onto vintage linen, using hand dyed yarns with natural dyes.

Emi Fujisawa is a Japanese textile artist and designer. Her specialism is hand weaving and natural dyes; she is also trained as a Japanese Sukumo Indigo Dyer.

On 2 and 3 December, Emi will be displaying her slow fashion collection in Milton Keynes Art Centre alongside which she will be leading a botanical slow stitching workshop.

In this relaxing session, participants will be drawing plants from life then transferring their drawings onto vintage linen. Once transferred to the fabric, the drawings will be stitched over using hand dyed yarn with natural dyes.
