Customers visiting Orange were invited to have their picture taken with the Hollywood hunk as part of the lead up to the UK’s biggest film celebration of the year, which will also see the store transform and take the shape of a retro cinema for three private screenings of box office film, Adventureland.
For the first time since opening, the multimedia store will utilise its digital facilities to host its own private premiere events, starting on Monday 15 February. Five lucky winners were picked at random this week and will be treated to free popcorn, pic’n’mix, champagne and, of course, the red carpet, before relaxing to their very own private showing.
Store manager, Cherry Peters said: “The Orange British Academy Film Awards is one of the biggest events of the year and we’re delighted to be able to give our customers the opportunity to experience this, as well as host our very own film premiere. Our private screening will give us the chance to show off our multimedia capabilities and adaptability to host events.”
For those not lucky enough to win tickets to the premieres there is still the chance to win an exclusive pair of tickets to the Orange British Academy Film Awards on 21 February. All you have to do is vote for 2010’s Orange Rising Star, the only accolade to be voted for by the public at orange.co.uk/bafta .
Nominees are Jesse Eisenberg, Nicholas Hoult, Carey Mulligan, Tahar Rahim and Kristen Stewart. This competition is open to all www.orange.co.uk/bafta visitors and will close on 15th February 2010.
