Milton Keynes City Orchestra Concerts - 2018 - 2019

The Venue, Walton High
Friday 2nd November 2018
7:30pm

The Lark Ascending is undoubtedly one of the most popular pieces in the classical repertoire.  Vaughan Williams is said to have composed it while watching British troops embarking for France at the start of Word War 1, so it is fitting that its meditational qualities should occupy our senses as the centenary of the end of that war is commemorated.  To perform The Lark Ascending and play Saint-Saens’ Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso, we welcome the young Korean violinist Yoon-Hee Kim, a fast rising star.

Tickets available from The Venue Box Office 01908 528808 & MKCO Office 01908 684116
Soloist: Yoon Hee-Ki
