48 Hour Film Challenge 2018
Friday 20-22 July

Make a film from scratch over the weekend!

Vagabond Film Festival will launch the 4th Annual 48 Hour Film Challenge which will take place between Friday 20 July and Sunday 22 July.

Professional and amateur filmmakers are invited to form teams and take part in a 48 Hour Filmmaking Challenge taking place in Milton Keynes this Summer as part of Vagabond Film Festival. Each team undertakes to produce, direct, edit and submit a short film within 48 hours which will then be judged and prizes awarded.

This year's 48 Hour Film Challenge will be an exciting part of the very first Vagabond Film Festival in Milton Keynes. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced filmmakers and those new to making films, to create a unique short film over a weekend using their creativity and story-telling skills.

The challenge is open to everyone including families, friends, children, adults or students from any background and with any level of experience with prizes awarded in two categories: Over 18 and Under 18.
Prizes
Over 18s – £150 cash
Under 18s – £50 cash
More prizes to be announced soon.
Four easy steps to take part:
#1
Register your team and pay the registration fee – £10 (£5 concessions) per team.
#2
You and your team need to attend MK Gallery Events Space (opposite main entrance) at 18:45 prompt on 20 July in person and will then be given a secret selection of ingredients which you must include in your film.
#3
You can now officially start your filmmaking.
#4
Completed films must be sent via WeTransfer or Vimeo download link by 20:00 on 22 July.

Each team will be invited to the 48 Hour Film Challenge Screening and Prize Giving Ceremony to be held on the following weekend as part of Vagabond Film Festival Saturday 28 July at 3.45pm.
