Milton Keynes Museum is THE Museum dedicated to the history of Milton Keynes and the people who live here. Visit us to explore the surprising history of the City, from ancient to modern, through a variety of interactive and hands-on exhibits. Step into the Victorian Farmhouse and go back in time and walk down a Victorian street of shops, before meeting Milton Keynes’ famous icons - the original Concrete Cows.
There’s something to excite everyone at Milton Keynes Museum. Set in beautiful old farmland outside Wolverton, a day out can also involve outdoor activities such as a nature trail and seeing what’s growing in the War Garden. And no visit is complete without stopping for a cake in our celebrated Granary tearoom.

April 1 to October 31 Wednesday to Sunday (inclusive), 10.30-16.30
PLUS Good Friday, Easter Monday and Bank Holiday Mondays in May and August, 10.30am-4.30pm
1 November to 31 March Saturday & Sunday (inclusive)
10.30-16.30 – every day during February half term.
The Museum is closed from the end of the Victorian Christmas event until the first full weekend following the New Year’s Day Bank Holiday.
FACILITIES:
The Granary Tea Room is open during normal opening hours serving a range of hot and cold home-made refreshments and the museum shop in the entrance hall sells souvenirs of your visit.
CAR PARKING:
There is ample parking with additional space for coaches and minibuses. An area close to the entrance is reserved for vehicles with disabled passengers.
DISABLED FACILITIES:
All of the public display areas and facilities at the Museum are accommodated at ground level. Wheelchair access is possible to all areas although visitors should be aware that doorways in the house and some other areas are standard width.
Motorised and non-motorised wheelchairs are available on site for visitors to use. These do not need to be booked in advance but it does help us if you are able to contact us before your visit to check availability and make a reservation.
