centremk wishing poolThis Christmas, centre:mk is delighted to have Willen Hospice on board as their charity partner. The Wishing Pool was officially opened on 19th November and all of the money raised from the pool this year will be donated to Willen Hospice.

Willen Hospice is a charity based in Milton Keynes that specialises in the care of people in the community living with life limiting illnesses. Shoppers are welcomed by centre:mk to visit the pool next to their Christmas tree in Queen’s Court, amidst their first ever Christmas Market, and make a Christmas wish whilst throwing a coin into the water.

Kevin Duffy, Centre Director at centre:mk,
“We are excited to officially open the Wishing Pool in Queen’s Court and to reveal that this Christmas we will be supporting Willen Hospice who will receive all the proceeds from the pool. We know how hard they work to raise money all year round, so we think this is a fantastic opportunity to support a local organisation who works so closely with the Milton Keynes community as we do!”

Paul Hinson, Chief Executive, Willen Hospice,
“We’re absolutely thrilled and hugely appreciative that the centre:mk have chosen to support Willen Hospice as the beneficiary of this year’s Christmas wishing pool. The Hospice needs to raise around £7 every minute of the year to fund the specialist care we provide to our patients and their loved ones, and those who will spare some change and throw it into the wishing pool during their Christmas shopping trip will be directly supporting Hospice care in this community.”
