Milton Keynes City OrchestraTwo upcoming concerts with Milton Keynes City Orchestra will see debuts for two amazing performers.

25th February
The prodigiously talented, international violinist Chloe Hanslip will perform the Sibelius Violin Concerto at Milton Keynes Theatre. Chloe performs internationally to great acclaim , she made her BBC Proms debut in 2002 and now her talent is recognised around the world. This concert also showcases the work of the MK Youth Orchestra playing Sibelius Finlandia side by side with our professional musicians. The concert finishes with the brilliant Elgar Enigma Variations. Both Finlandia and The Enigma Variations are part of the BBC Ten Pieces concert series, aimed at encouraging young people  to understand and enjoy classical music. This is a fabulous concert for all of the family to enjoy together on a Sunday afternoon at 3.00pm. Tickets £12.00-£36.00 and £5 for under 18’s and students. These prices are subject to ATG restoration and booking fees.

11th March
A marvellous Mother’s Day treat, an afternoon concert with Stephen Hough playing Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No.1 at The Venue theatre in Milton Keynes. Over the course of his career Stephen has secured a reputation as a uniquely insightful concert pianist, writer and composer. He has earned a multitude of prestigious awards and a long standing international following. MKCO will open the concert with Mozart’s Marriage of Figaro and follow Stephen’s enthralling performance with Beethoven’s Symphony No.3 . Book early, current trends show that this concert will sell out . Tickets £10 and £25.00 limited £5 seats available for under 18’s and students.

MKCO launched into 2018 with an amazing full house concert with Francesco D’orazio thrilling the audience with a spectacular performance of Vivaldi and Piazzolla four seasons played together with spellbinding success. Our next two concerts promise many more extraordinary experiences with live classical music.
