Tickets now on sale for the Proms in Campbell Park 2016

Date Posted:20/05/2016

Tickets are now on sale for this year’s Proms in Campbell Park, and after the success of last year’s concert, they are expected to be in high demand. With plans fully underway, MKCO Music Director, Damian Iorio met with The Parks Trust’s Chief Executive, David Foster, to ensure that 2016 will be bigger and better than ever.

The exciting annual event, set in the surroundings of Campbell Park, attracts over 3000 people each year, with an outstanding performance from the City’s orchestra, before a stunning fireworks display brings the evening to a close.

This year, the Orchestra will be led by its very own Music Director and Principle Conductor, Damian Iorio, who is currently developing the programme to assure that it tops last year’s – including all the classics to keep visitors flying the flags all night long.

Damian Iorio, Music Director of MKCO, said: “I’m delighted to be involved in my first Proms in Campbell Park since joining MKCO two seasons ago. I’m finalising the programme now and we are looking forward to shortly announcing our soloist for the evening.”

Over the years, business support and corporate hospitality have been an intrinsic part of the concert, ensuring it continues to grow year on year. With many businesses signing up time and time again due to the benefits they received as a result, The Proms in Campbell Park offers companies a fantastic chance to be seen, as well as providing a great night out for all attending.

David Foster, Chief Executive at The Parks Trust, said: “The Proms in Campbell Park is a real highlight of the year for us and all involved.  We are very much looking forward to the programme for 2016.  We value the support of our sponsors and it is with thanks to them that we can continue to build on this great event year after year.”
