Outdoor specialist, The North Face has confirmed it is joining intu Milton Keynes and will open its new store on Friday 23 October.
The 1800sqft store will be located next to Timberland on West Walk and will create 10 full and part time jobs, as well as additional staff for Christmas. Specialising in outerwear, fleeces, coats, shirts, footwear, and equipment such as backpacks, and sleeping bags, The North Face will become the flagship store for its franchise operator, 73 Retail.
The company already has a presence in the shopping centre with Timberland and Havaianas during the summer, “The footfall and target audience at intu Milton Keynes is fantastic for business and it’s a centre that is growing and developing, which matches our strategy for long-term investment.” Said Luke Underhill, Founding Partner of 73 Retail.
Luke adds: “Milton Keynes is a real hub for business, which we have enjoyed for the last few years and to place The North Face next to our Timberland store is the vision we had from the start.”
Shelley Peppard, general manager at intu Milton Keynes said: “This is wonderful news and we’re delighted to welcome such a high profile and popular brand to the centre. This is the start of many big names to be announced between now and Christmas.”
The opening of The North Face will also mark 73 Retail’s new ecommerce site www.73Retail.com. Other brands under the group include Vans and Radley.
