Snozone and Xscape team up for first Sno Xpo

Snozone Xsacpe xpoAhead of the 2014/15 season, Snozone and Xscape have teamed up to launch the UK’s first ski and snowboard show in Buckinghamshire. With over 900,000 Brits expected to hit the slopes on ski and snowboard holidays this season, they are expecting a significant turnout for the event.

Supporting the Sno Xpo at Snozone Milton Keynes on Saturday 27th September will be six of their young and talented sponsored riders: Sarah Glasgow, 13, race ski; Jake Binnee, 14 freestyle board; Will Gilmore, 11, freestyle board; Skyla Baily, 14, boarder cross, Mason Ferebee, 14, freestyle ski, Jade Walsh, 12, freestyle board and Snozone veteran Gary Walsh, 44, who has been freestyling at Snozone since its doors first opened. They will be demonstrating their skills on the slopes from 11am. Sponsored rider profiles.

If you enjoy watching snowsports, this is a fantastic opportunity to see some of the UK’s finest riders in action, for FREE from the restaurant area at Snozone Milton Keynes.

During the Xpo visitors can enjoy guaranteed snow including family-fun sledging (£6) and all day slope passes with freestyle features, coaching and a beat-the-pro slalom style course (£40). A limited number of private lessons will also be available for £99. Within Xscape, winter season equipment and apparel will be showcased along with a German market, live entertainment and performers.   

Upcoming event highlights

  • Who’s Afraid of the Park is Snozone’s monthly coaching event which is attended by their finest sponsored riders, on hand to teach you how to ride the freestyle features and to chat about their snowsport adventures. Inspiration for up and coming freestyle riders Friday 19th September, 7pm – 10pm, £37.99/£27.99.
  • Not content with nurturing Winter Olympic hopefuls, Snozone is now searching for Milton Keynes’ performing artists too. Its monthly ‘Spotlight’ kicks off in the Snobar on Sunday 28th September between 7pm – 11pm. Talented musicians and performing artists (e.g. comedians and dance troops) from Milton Keynes and the surrounding counties are encouraged to attend the first event, which will be scouted, with one lucky hopeful (throughout the 6 month season) securing a recording package worth £5k. Spotlight events are open to ages 14+.
  • Oktoberfest marks the launch of Snozone’s winter season of celebrations. On Saturday 4th October there’ll be live music from 'Die Dorf fest Kappelle' in the Snolounge (FREE entry), plus Bavarian schnitzels, alpine beverages and local ales all on offer. With a specially designed freestyle park and an exhilarating slalom run, take advantage of all-day slope passes at only £50 (£40 for members) with coaches on hand to help you get the most out your day. Sledging £6, 10am - 6pm.
  • The Snofresh Student Night returns to Snozone on Wednesday 1st October, with a Bavarian theme for students to ride the park features while listening to great music. Also on Wednesday 15th October, 7pm – 11pm, £23.00 with a valid NUS card.
