Date Posted:16/03/2018

intu etsy marketDue to last month’s snow storm, intu Milton Keynes made the tough decision to postpone its much-anticipated Artisan Market; but the centre is now thrilled to announce a new date has been confirmed!

On Saturday 7 April, 26 independent traders will line the mall to showcase their new season lines, exclusive designs and handcrafted one-offs as intu Milton Keynes continues its support for local independent businesses.

Many of the original traders scheduled for February’s event, including Outhouse by Hand who create handcrafted goods from local and sustainable, a firm favourite at the Christmas market in 2017,  Leila Ward Designs who makes beautiful art and gifts inspired by nature and Baxter’s Boutique who make lovely handmade accessories for fashion conscious dogs have all rebooked to trade at the new market. Plus, some new names including Hello Stationery, who make simply stationery to make you smile, beautiful personalised folded book art from Elegant Folds and some lovely beaded jewellery to celebrate women from Fair Bloom will now also be making an appearance!

Kirsty McGiff, marketing manager at intu Milton Keynes said, “We are thrilled we have been able to secure a new date for the Artisan Market and that most of our traders have been able to confirm their attendance again. The traders are very special and quite unique, which is great for our shoppers looking for something special as a gift for someone.”

The full list of exhibitors will be revealed on the intu Milton Keynes website shortly and the market will again be situated on the boulevard near Pret and Gap.

The centre is also accepting applications for the Artisan Markets on Saturday 9 June and Saturday 29 September. If you are a local Etsy seller, applications for the Christmas Etsy Made Local Market in December are also being accepted but the date for this market is still to be confirmed.

Sellers do not have to be an Etsy seller to take part in the two remaining Artisan Markets on the 9 June and 29 September, but sellers do have to be independent and sell locally designed, handmade, upcycled or vintage items. The centre cannot unfortunately accept independent sellers who sell mass-produced items, items bought from trade shows or imported goods to resell.
