Festival Fringe prepares '11 slightly shocking days'

Date Posted:29/06/2016

Milton Keynes Festival FringeAs people prepare for MK’s 50th birthday next year, we thought we'd celebrate being 49!

During ‘11 slightly shocking days’, the Festival Fringe has an exciting programme of theatre, music, visual arts, comedy, dance outdoor arts, and everything in between!

We are welcoming participating artists from far and wide: some well-travelled on the UK fringe circuits, others mysterious and new. Of course we’re also featuring some of the amazing talent which is bursting –or gracefully emerging – from under our fringes, here in MK; including many new writers, performers, film-makers and visual artists.

Jessica Rost, Artistic Director at MK Festival Fringe said: ‘This year we’re able to offer more ‘fringe’ than ever before –slightly less than 50 events actually - with venues across the city opening their doors to audiences who are brave and willing..!’

If you would like to support MK Festival Fringe and fancy being part of the family, why not join our Fringekin scheme. Membership is £20, a one off fee for the festival period which helps to support some of the wonderful artists and events. Members can enjoy special offers on selected ticketed events and also a surprise gift! Please check out our website to find out more http://mkfestivalfringe.com

This year the Fringe is being produced in partnership with Interaction MK, through our newly devised Young Producers scheme; which is giving a cohort of talented youngsters support and mentoring to manage many of the events in this year’s programme.
