Families enjoy short breaks at Gulliver's new Adventurers Village

Date Posted:05/07/2016

Gullivers Adventure VillagePlenty of young adventurers and their families are making happy memories in the new Adventurers Village accommodation at Gulliver's Land in Milton Keynes.

Since it opened at the end of May, the brand new themed accommodation is already proving a hit with families who want to add a bit of character to their short breaks away from home.

The Adventurers Village - just a short walk from the popular family theme park - has four differently themed dens, lodges and glamping tents available for short breaks.

Love dinosaurs? From the outside the Lost World Cabins and Dino Dens look just like shacks used by intrepid explorers on Jurassic adventures - parents will be pleased to know they're considerably more comfortable inside, complete with showers and toilets!

Fancy yourself as a cowboy or cowgirl? The Wild West-themed deluxe Prospector's Lodges are like log cabins way out west. Complete with kitchen and dining areas, bathrooms and TVs, they sleep up to six people - and have hot tubs right outside!

Intrepid safari explorers are enjoying staying in Gulliver's lakeside safari tents. This is maxi-glamping at its best, with part wooden structure and part canvas tents that have all the comforts of home, including en-suite shower room, large living area and kitchen facilities.

And if you love the laid back beach life, the beach dens will be right up your street. They conjure up the feel of a British seaside holiday, complete with a mini ‘beach' right outside your door - perfect for younger children to have fun building sandcastles!

All the Adventurers Village lodges and dens have been designed to appeal to children and parents alike: kids will gasp in excitement at features like windows in the bunk bed areas, and grown-ups will be satisfied with the quality of the facilities on offer throughout. And an added attraction: at 6pm families are invited to gather together at the dramatic Adventurers Village fire pit to toast marshmallows - a tasty treat the kids will love!

The Rudgley family from Aylesbury was among the first to experience a short break in the Adventurers Village. Hannah Rudgley, mum to four year old Finlay and two year old Edie, said:
"We stayed in a safari tent for two nights and had such a fabulous time. The staff could not have been more welcoming and efficient, and the arrival pack was excellent. Our tent was very well thought-out and kitted out with more than just the essentials - plus the things you often forget to pack! The shower was hot and powerful and the beds were very comfortable. The campsite itself is amazing - all the other accommodation looks brilliant too and there are sandpits and play areas for the children. They even have a fire pit for melting marshmallows!

"I run a pre-school and have been telling all our parents that they must pay the Adventurers Village a visit this summer. Our family will definitely be going back before too long!"

Dean Kimberley, Gulliver's Director of Guest Services, said:
"It's tricky squeezing all the fun of Gulliver's Land into one day trip. Now you don't have to! Our new Adventurers Village resort offers unforgettable short breaks for families with young children.

"With all the fun of the Gulliver's Land theme park, the Dinosaur & Farm Park, the Splash Zone, our SFEAR high ropes climbing challenge and the NERF Zone, there's plenty for families to see and do on a Stay & Play break. The kids are sure to be pleading to come back again soon!"

Gulliver's Stay & Play accommodation is available for short breaks in your choice of accommodation on the quiet, traffic free resort beside the existing Gulliver's Land campsite. Packages include unlimited entry to the Gulliver's Land theme park, Dinosaur & Farm Park and Splash Zone, plus discounted entry to the NERF Zone and The SFEAR. Prices start at £128 for a family of four staying for one night in a beach den, inclusive of two days' entry to the parks.

Gulliver's theme parks are specially designed for children between the ages of two and 13 years. From theme park classics like the rollercoaster, log flume and dodgems to a host of unique attractions and theatre shows with Gully Mouse and the gang, there's so much to discover with lots of new things to see and do being added all the time.
