Could it be a record breaking summer at Xscape?

Date Posted:28/07/2016

Dan Magness XscapeSummer 2016 has already smashed records – with soaring July temperatures upward of 30 degrees, and Pokemon once again ruling the gaming world. Never to be outdone by sunshine or Pikachu, this Summer holiday, Xscape are set to break a few GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ titles of their own – and you could be part of the action!

Saturday 30th July sees a visit to Xscape from GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title holder, Dan Magness. Dan is a UK TV presenter who started out as a football freestyler, performing phenomenal football tricks at events across the world.

Dan holds multiple GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS titles.  In 2009, he set the record for the Longest marathon controlling a football (24 hours), a time that he then went on to better in 2010 when he extended his record by a whole two hours, raising the bar for other freestylers to strive towards. This amazing feat was followed a few months later by a gruelling 36 mile walk across London in January 2010, keeping a football up the whole time. Dan will be at Xscape teaching his world famous keepy-uppy skills at his football tricks workshop.

On Saturday 13th August, GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS will be taking over Xscape, and giving you the chance to practice and attempt to break a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title!  There will be 6 different challenges for you to come and try your hand at, and you could walk away with a certificate and the pride that comes with becoming the world’s best .

Alan Pixsley from GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS said: “We love giving people the opportunity to become GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title holders, and our event at Xscape this Summer is going to do that.  If you have always dreamed of becoming a record breaker, come along on 13th August where we’ll be breaking records and making heroes.”

Carl Meale, Xscape General Manager added: “Every year we like to make our big seasonal events bigger and better – this Summer is set to be the biggest yet…and I’ll be gutted if I don’t break a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title myself of course!”

These two world record themed events are just part of the calendar of events, activities and surprises taking place all summer long, including our Summer Jurassic event with real(ish) dinosaurs and free family entertainment.  For continuing information, follow @XscapeMK on Facebook and Twitter.
