For a traditional, fun and charitable Christmas event head over to the Theatre District at 4pm on Sunday 29th November. They have FREE kids rides, FREE refreshments (including Mulled Wine for the adults!) and FREE entertainment, plus this year the District will have even more Christmas stalls, so a great opportunity to buy your Christmas cards and a few gifts.
There is plenty of local talent up on stage (a few you might recognise from TV singing shows) including The Shures, Yinka Williams and annual favourites Joe as Olly Murs and Scott Finley. Cheerleaders MKCA will be displaying their European Championship talents and festive choirs are guaranteed to put everyone in the Christmas spirit.
Father Christmas has apparently confirmed his attendance and this year funds raised through donations across the whole event will go to Different Strokes, who support younger stroke survivors, as well as Dogs for Good (recently rebranded and previously well known as Dogs for the Disabled).
The lights will be switched on between 6.30 and 7pm by representatives of each charity including Megan Giglia, who at 27 suffered a life changing stroke but has now gone on to become a Silver medal winning GB para-cyclist.
