Bailey McConnell is coming to Midsummer Place

Date Posted:13/05/2014

Bailey McConnellMilton Keynes’ very own Bailey McConnell is paying a visit to Midsummer Place Shopping Centre this weekend.  The fifteen-year-old Singer-Songwriter is a well known face around the City, having performed locally many times over the past year and most recently, appearing on Britain’s Got Talent.

Midsummer Place Shopping Centre is hosting a meet and greet with Bailey to give his fans a chance to see him in person.  Bailey will be at Midsummer Place, on the Boulevard, from 12 – 2pm on Saturday 17th May.

Bailey caught the gaze of the public eye after his audition on Britain’s Got Talent two weeks ago.  Having wowed judges; Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams with his original song and unique voice, Bailey is waiting to find out if he’s through to the live semi-final stage of the competition.

To show support for Bailey in the competition, Midsummer Place is giving away limited edition #TeamBailey wristbands to fans that attend.

Having performed at ‘Live @ Midsummer’ in 2013, the Centre is pleased to continue its support of Bailey.  Midsummer Place also helped Bailey create a new look for his Britain’s Got Talent audition, using the expertise of its impressive range of retailers.

Martin Hindson, General Manager, said:  “We’re very proud of the local talent that Milton Keynes has and Bailey is a shining example of this.  We wish him lots of luck in Britain’s Got Talent and we can’t wait to see what the future has in store for him! We’re ‘Team Bailey’ all the way!”

Bailey commented:  “It’s great to have the support of Midsummer Place; I love loads of the shops in the Centre and they helped me get some new clothes for my big audition.  Performing on Britain’s Got Talent was really exciting; I just hope I get through to the next round!  I can’t wait to meet fans on Saturday; they’ve shown me so much support, especially on social media.”
