Family Fun Day at Wolverton Park
Published - Monday, 07 September, 2009
As part of Milton Keynes' Heritage Weekend, Wolverton Park will be open on Saturday 12 September, for a day of free family entertainment in this unique and historic setting. Once the home of the Royal Train and steeped in railway history, Wolverton Park is now a development of stylish homes with shops, restaurants and bars opening soon.

There will be plenty of diverse attractions to entertain families of all ages including a special children's area, a falconry display, brass bands and other live music, crazy golf and helter skelter, Punch and Judy and extraordinary, top class street entertainers. With side stalls and a special food hall, this is a day out not to be missed! All of the entertainment, activities and rides are free.

It will also be the perfect opportunity to see how these fantastic historic buildings have been refurbished by developer Places for People.  Guests will be able to see the remarkable building that housed the Royal Train, built in 1889, the Triangle Building built in 1845 as locomotive workshops and the Reading Room built for Victorian railway employees to improve their education.
